This web site is
dedicated to the motorcycles of Czechoslovakia, in particular Jawa, CZ, and
ESO. Off road motorcycles, (vintage motocross & ISDT), will dominate this
site but I will try to feature road bikes, road racers, speedway bikes, ice
racers, scooters, and mopeds in the future. A picture is worth a thousand
words, so this site will try to document the history and development of
Czech motorcycles through images mainly. This site will also list clubs, events, and links that deal with Czech motorcycles. A feature article will be posted and changed periodically. I would like this page to be a resource for people who collect, restore, and race these bikes. Also some of the great riders of Czech motorcycles will be featured here. |

THE PAGE BUILDER: I've been involved in off road motorcycling for over 50 years. I got my first Czech motorcycle from a college buddy. That bike, a 1973 125 CZ Moto-cross was rebuilt and given a 1972 380cc, (Typ 981), CZ engine. Soon after I started competing in vintage moto-cross. I had so much fun rebuilding that CZ, I had to get another project. Next was a 1963 Jawa 250 Moto-cross, which lead to another Jawa, and another Jawa, an ESO, another Jawa, and........ I collect literature dealing with Czech motorcycles. I especially would like to complete my collection of Czechoslovak Motor Review magazines, if anyone out there can help, please contact me. I hope this web site has been of interest. I am not an expert on Czech motorcycles, I'm just a fan and an owner of a few of these fine machines. Please email any comments, corrections, input, or suggestions, (reese "DOT" dengler "AT" comcast "DOT" net). Photos or images files of Czech motorcycles are also welcome. If you do write, please identify yourself, and tell me where in the world you are. Thank you.
